Flight alloys, every week
We run Inconel 718 and GRCop-42, the alloys propulsion and turbomachinery programs actually fly, and we know how each one behaves in the build.
Laser powder bed fusion in Inconel 718 and GRCop-42, quoted by an engineer, not a portal. Send the model and the material and you get pricing, a build orientation and an honest read on whether it will build.
For aerospace, defense, space and industrial teams buying prototypes through pilot series. HUBZone and Small Disadvantaged Business certified, so the work counts toward your small business subcontracting goals.
Buyers and engineers who need metal hardware that holds up under pressure, heat and an audit.
We run Inconel 718 and GRCop-42, the alloys propulsion and turbomachinery programs actually fly, and we know how each one behaves in the build.
Overhangs, trapped powder, thin walls and orientation are flagged before you commit, with a proposed fix, so the first build is the right one.
Work placed with AME supports small business set asides and the subcontracting goals primes report against.
The EOS M 400 is the largest commercial metal additive platform in Alabama. Chambers, manifolds and housings up to a 400 mm cube, or a full plate of small parts.
Material certifications, dimensional checks and build records ship with the parts. Witness coupons on the plate when the program calls for them.
Hardware built for NASA, Blue Origin, the Department of War and Mountain Aerospace, including a GRCop-42 fuel injector built with Marshall Space Flight Center.
You hear from an engineer at every step, not a ticket queue.
Pricing, a suggested orientation and an honest read on whether the geometry will build.
We flag features that will not survive the build and propose the fix before a layer is fused.
Fused layer by layer on the M 400 under argon, monitored through the run.
Stress relief, plate removal, supports, then HIP, heat treatment, machining and surface work to your callout.
Dimensional checks, certs and build documentation, shipped anywhere in the country.
Yes. There is no charge for a quote or for the design review that comes with it, and no obligation to place the order.
A 3D model (STEP preferred; Parasolid, IGES and STL also work), the material, the quantity and your target date. A drawing or a note on critical tolerances, surface finish, heat treatment and testing makes the quote more accurate.
Build height, part volume, support structures, alloy and post processing. Small simple parts start in the low hundreds of dollars; large or complex Inconel and copper alloy builds run into the thousands. The cost guide walks through each driver.
Yes. Most of our work is under NDA and we are used to program specific handling requirements. Mention it in the form or call the shop and we will sign first.
One prototype through pilot series production. A single plate on the M 400 can carry one large component or dozens of small ones, and repeat runs use the same locked parameters.
Yes. We ship nationwide and most of our customers are outside the state. Local teams near Redstone Arsenal and Marshall can visit the shop in Huntsville and pick up parts.
We will tell you. If another process or another alloy is the better answer, you will hear that from us rather than a quote for a part that should not be printed.
